Wrecclesham Village Fete
Sunday . 14th July . 12.30 to 5pm
Wrecclesham Recreation Grounds, GU10 4QR
We bring you the annual Wrecclesham Village fete – a very much anticipated event the whole village looks forward to every year!
We are very pleased to announce that the upcoming fete will be opened by none other than the esteemed Mayor Brodie Mauluka. So join us from 12.30pm onwards for a fun-filled day for the family.
With a record number of over 60 stalls this year, we promise an amazing day out for the family! There will be lots of games like hook a duck, prizes every time, test-your-strength ring the bell and the kids’ races to keep the children entertained. We also have the return of some favourites like the teacup rides and the Singing Princess to serenade the crowd.
For the first time this year, the Surrey Fire and Rescue will make an appearance. Kids will have the chance to hop on board a fire engine and gain some important fire safety advice.
You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to food from curry to BBQ and free candy floss for the children. Plenty of refreshments to cool down like slushies, snowy cones, milkshakes and ice-cream for a sunny summer’s day will be available too.
Let’s not forget the array of crafts, artisan and gifts stalls this year. There will be something for everyone!
There is a special focus on our young entrepreneurs from Weydon School who will be working hard to raise funds for an expedition to Peru to help local communities in summer 2025. Each student needs to raise funds of around £4,000 so dig deep for them!
Enter your pooches into the ever popular Dog Show and show off your classic automobiles in the Vintage Car Display on the recreation ground!
The day won’t be complete without some musical entertainment from the very talented Farnham Brass Band followed by a tribute band to close the fete.
Various charities like Cats Protection, Phyllis Tuckwell, the Scouts, Guides, Rangers, St. Peter’s Church and the Ukrainian community in Farnham will be appealing to your kind generosity at the fete – it is with your continued support that they are able to do what they do year after year.
Following a successful debut last year, the Community Tent is returning once again to provide information on a number of activities available within the local community, and will also be the place to purchase raffle tickets to win some amazing prizes on the day.
